In March, the Deaf Unit was honored to welcome the Japanese Ambassador, His Excellency Masaki Noke, in the presence of Bishop Mouneer Anis; Bishop of the Episcopal/ Anglican Diocese of Egypt with North Africa and the Horn of Africa. The Ambassador visited the classrooms and the boarding building. He also stopped by the Audiology Clinic, which was donated by the Japanese Embassy. His Excellency was very kind to the children; talking and taking photos with them. At the end of his Excellency’s visit, his Excellency Masaki Noke gave a speech to all the staff of the Deaf Unit and encouraged them to continue their hard work. We Trust that the Ambassador’s visit was an encouragement to our students as much as it was for us.
