The Deaf Club provides opportunities for deaf adults to socialize together and learn from each other. Twice a week they have planned events, usually led by members of the deaf club, and the clubhouse doors are also open every day.
Through the deaf club, the young people and adults are given the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and come up with ways that the deaf can travel to different places in Egypt, meeting different groups of people and learning about Egyptian culture.
The Deaf Club also gives these young people and adults many opportunities to interact with the hearing population in the wider community. This is very important because in order to become integrated into society, the deaf need to interact with the hearing in order to break down stereotypes and cultural barriers.
